JOE STARTED PLAYING IN CLUBS LATE IN LIFE, HE WAS 51. PEOPLE WILL SAY HIS TONE IS LOUD AND BRASSY, ALL YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER IS THAT HE PLAYS THE WAY HE FEELS THE SONG.
Lori McCord Accordian
Lori began taking piano lessons at age 5, and at age 11, her father bought her a used accordion. Music became her passion, and she loved the old standards, which she could check out of the St Paul Library, or play in the practice rooms at the music store, after school. Little did she know that this would become a foundation of many of the songs she would come to play at Nye's, some 40 years later. In her adult life, she played piano in the dining rooms of a few military clubs in New Mexico and California, was church organist on a military base in New Mexico, and currently plays piano with a flutist. She's a member of the Twin Cities Accordion Club. She began playing at Nye's in June of 2007, when Ruth Adams was unable to play, and played with Ruth a few times when Joe was out. She retired from the USDA in 2007, is the mom to 6 kids and grandmom to 13, is happily married and lives in Little Canada.
Ken Lundquist Drums
Ken began playing drums in 1960 and put himself through college with the earnings. He has played with varioud genre of bands since Including , dance, swing , rock, and polka. He has been with "The Worlds Most Dangerous Polka Band" for the past 6 years. Along with his playing He holds down a full time job as a manager for The State of Minnesota.
Clark Shingledecker Drums
Clark began playing drums professionally at age 15. He has played with vaious bands . He now plays with us and a few other bands. He has been one of our rotation drummer for the past five years. His drum solos are absolutely beautiful.
Jerry Anderson Drums
Jerry Anderson has been durmming in Twin Cities bands for more than 20 years, since he was 17. His bands have been on major record labels and won Minnesota Muisic Awards. He is also a journalist, teacher and radio personality, and lives in dowtown Minneapolis.
Andy Koncar Drums
Andy started playing Polka music at the age of 12.He is a Nordeast regular, playing with many local bands.Andy rocks most weekends with "The Bill Koncar Band".
Stuart DeVaan
Stuart has een playing drums / percussion since 4th grade. Stuart currently plays with the experimental percussion group Savage Aural Hotbed and the WCCO Blues Band. Stuart has also played with various rock, blues and jazz bands, which include Riff Raff, Bob, Thw pole Vaulting Nuns of Zanzibar and Areola51.
